From today there's a new site facility: Messages through which you can contact other users of CMO without a public site posting. This is most likely to be useful when what you have to say won't interest others so an individual message avoids clogging up the site with unnecessary one-to-one comments.

Messages only work between registered users who each have their own message box visible when they log in - see 'Messages' in the menu. To send a message you use the person's visible user name as they can still hide their real name.

Important: message content can be viewed by site administrators so it's not private, just not in full public view of the whole world! The purpose of this is not so we can read what you have to say (much of it won't be interesting to anyone except you), it's to stop inappropriate message content so no-one will harass or abuse others if they know we can read it.

Please inform a site admin if you receive a hostile or inappropriate message.
