Polling Report

Susan Jefferies describes what happened on polling day:-

The 3 Polling Stations opened at 7am in Corfe Mullen and were manned, by the same team, through a long day until they closed at 10pm.

All day a steady stream of residents came in to cast their votes, until as ever there was a rush towards the end of the day.

At 10pm sharp the Polls closed and the ballot boxes were loaded up and driven to Christchurch for the Count. The Counting Hall at 2 Rivers Meet was vibrant and exciting all night until the last results were declared around 3.30am and everyone drifted home to bed.

Lots of pictures show how the tension builds and the relief as various results are finally declared at https://twitter.com/CorinDailyEcho
